Independent app
Takewise is an independent app. It is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by YouTube or Google.
What the app does
Takewise helps users save YouTube links, fetch official video metadata, paste notes or transcript text, and draft takeaways from that text.
User-provided text
You are responsible for the text you paste into the app. In this version, Takewise drafts takeaways from that text and from official video metadata.
Text messaging
Text to Takewise is optional. To opt in, open Takewise, go to Settings, choose Text to Takewise, enter a phone number you control, request a verification code, and enter that code in the app. By completing that setup, you agree to receive SMS messages from Takewise at that number.
Takewise SMS messages are transactional service messages. They may include verification codes, responses to YouTube links you text to the Takewise number, error notices, HELP responses, and STOP confirmations. Message frequency varies based on your use. Message and data rates may apply.
You can opt out at any time by replying STOP. After opting out, Takewise may send one confirmation message and will stop sending SMS messages unless you opt in again. Reply HELP for help or contact support@takewise.co.
You must only connect a phone number that you own or are authorized to use. More detail about the opt-in flow is available on the Text to Takewise SMS Consent page, and SMS privacy details are included in the Privacy Policy.
What the app does not do
- Takewise does not download video or audio from YouTube.
- Takewise does not promise that every YouTube video is supported.
- Some videos may be unavailable if YouTube metadata is not exposed for them.
Third-party terms
By using Takewise, you agree that your use remains subject to the YouTube Terms of Service and you acknowledge the Google Privacy Policy.
