Opt-in flow
Text to Takewise is optional. A user opts in only after opening the Takewise iPhone app, going to Settings, choosing Text to Takewise, entering a phone number, requesting a verification code by SMS, and entering that code in the app.
The opt-in screen explains that the user is connecting their phone number so they can text a YouTube link to Takewise and receive the finished take back on their device. Users must provide a phone number they own or are authorized to use.
Message types
Takewise SMS messages are transactional service messages. They may include verification codes, responses to YouTube links the user texts to the Takewise number, error notices when a link cannot be processed, HELP responses, and STOP confirmations.
Takewise does not use Text to Takewise consent to send third-party marketing messages.
Rates and frequency
Message frequency varies based on the user's setup and use of Text to Takewise. Message and data rates may apply.
STOP and HELP
Users can opt out at any time by replying STOP. After a STOP request, Takewise may send one confirmation message and will stop SMS messaging unless the user opts in again.
Users can reply HELP for help or contact support@takewise.co.
Privacy
Takewise does not sell phone numbers or SMS consent and does not share SMS opt-in data with third parties for their marketing. SMS data is shared only with service providers that help operate Takewise, such as Twilio for messaging delivery, or when required by law.
More detail is available in the Takewise Privacy Policy and Takewise Terms.
